Rod & Cori HangerOpened Acceleration Auto & Performance in 2017. They are originally from Three Hills where they farmed till 2014. Rod has always had a passion for cars and started hobby racing in 2010 with the Three Hills Weekend Cruisers. In 2016 Rod and Cori moved to an acreage west of Stony Plain and had an opportunity to get involved in a performance shop. Rod has built 5 of his own racecars. Rod has gotten Cori and their kids involved in racing as well. Their vision for the shop is to create an environment where everyone feels welcome with a family like atmosphere. They have surrounded themselves with an extremely talented and knowledgeable team. The shop is unique to performance but also do general service and repair. They are about building trust and relationships with customers that have long lasting effects. |
Nolan NykyforukNolan has over 20 years of tuning experience. He started fuel injection tuning in 1996 on his ‘93 Sonoma with a swapped in turbo 4.3 out of a ‘91 Syclone. This progressed to the point of tuning Syclones and Typhoons all over the world where finally in 2003 he left his journeymen electrician career and started tuning full time. Nolan has training in the following:
He has tuned many aftermarket fuel injection systems over the years, on the Chassis dyno, Engine dyno and at the drag strip. He has experience in Holley, FAST, BigStuff3, Haltech, AEM, ProEfi and more. Nolan is a great asset to our team with a knowledge of vehicles that is astounding. Nolan is currently working on his twin turbo Syclone, hoping to complete his 1400+hp beast early this summer. When Nolan is not working on his Syclone, he spends quality time with his family, chasing his kids around arenas and BMX tracks. |
Jim BradleyJim joined our team in early 2018. He worked in the wholesale performance parts industry for 14 years, then another 4 years as an Inside Sales Rep for a Speed & Engine Machine Shop, which has made him a great addition to AAP. At the early age of 8, Jim fell in love with Nitro Funny Cars, which has fuelled a life long passion of cars and speed. He has been involved in all aspects of racing throughout his life, with a focus now on Small Tire Racing. He is currently working on his passion, a 1966 Chevy II. Away from work & racing, Jim enjoys spending time with his 2 boys on the football field. |
Rory StolleryWith over 11 years of experience in the automotive performance industry, Rory is an invaluable member of the team here at AAP. His previous employment includes several performance and engine machine shops including Campbell automotive and Moretto motorsports. He also worked as an industrial welder and spent time as a fabricator in a chassis shop. He earned his red seal journeyman mechanic ticket in 2012. Rory is a talented fabricator with many turbo kits, roll cages and exhaust systems under his belt. He has a vast knowledge of all things performance with a specialty in forced induction systems and engine swaps. His colleagues call him "modular man" for his undying love of the late model Ford v8 engine. He enjoys drag racing and working on his 1000whp turbo 6spd mustang, which he has piloted to a 9.13@159mph quarter mile time. Although horsepower is his obsession, he also spends his time lifting weights, snowboarding and being a family man. |
Ryan SchmidtRyan was first introduced into the racing scene from his friends and ever since then, his passion for racing and building cars has continued to grow each year. He started drag racing with his family’s 1968 Dodge Charger which eventually led him to his first rear wheel drive, time attack capable car, a 1988 Mazda RX7. Over the last few years he has learned the capabilities of the RX7 & road racing leading him to purchase his RX8. With his huge interest of racing, he began studying the sport by watching videos and spending time researching specs for his current racecar builds. His passion for cars led him to enroll into NAIT where he achieved his Automotive Technician Red Seal Certificate. Ryan has spent the majority of his career working in the high performance industry. In 2013 Ryan enrolled in the competition race school and received his FIA/WCMA road race competition license. Ryan is focused & geared to show the world his talent in building cars and racing. He is very particular and a perfectionist which makes him great at his job. Ryan has five years of Speedway Performance HPDE time attack experience. Ryan enjoys the outdoors by snowboarding, camping, hiking, off-roading, soccer and racing. |
